I hear people saying coding yourself rather than relying on AI is out of date, but I'm applying to jobs now and not only am I always told in coding tests that AI use is prohibited, usually the environment doesn't even support the basic features like detecting libraries to import that IDEs supported long before LLMs came along.

how can they know you are using AI if you do it online and have a 2nd computer at hand?
