Recently, I’ve been trying out the platform Clubhouse (you can follow me there, I’m “Razib Khan”).
Tonight, Friday, February 12th, I’m going to hold a discussion on my two Substack Indian Genetics deep dives from a couple weeks ago’ plus the genetic history of India more broadly with my friends David Mittelman and Carlos Bustamante. If you have the Clubhouse app (iPhone only so far) and would like to join us, here is the link: https://www.joinclubhouse.com/event/myoRj90W
The original pieces are available for paying Substack subscribers here:
(I’ll be at Clubhouse starting a couple hours before that as well, to join an event David is hosting with Nick Thompson, now CEO of The Atlantic.)
Although I have an iPhone i prefer not to clutter it up with "crap" apps. Clubhouse doesn't even have a web page to log into. So until Clubhouse does get a web presence these discussions are pretty much dead in the water to me. Maybe you can put these discussions on an IRC channel
Is there some sneaky way for regular plebes to get on Clubhouse? I've just been ignoring it as the latest stupid thing that excessively online people obsess over. Maybe it still is that.
